Website and booking terms

These terms apply when you use this website, create a player account, request or book a place, join a waitlist, or pay for a session operated by Brisbane Magpies Volleyball Club.

Accounts and eligibility

You must provide accurate information, protect your password and use only your own account. The online service is not directed to children under 13. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian. The club may verify identity, assess playing level, limit which sessions are visible or bookable, review newcomer requests, reserve priority places, or restrict an account to protect safety, fair access and the quality of sessions.

Bookings, capacity and waitlists

A place is confirmed only when the website shows it as confirmed or paid, or when the owner confirms it directly. Places are subject to capacity and eligibility checks. A waitlist entry is not a confirmed booking and does not require payment until a place is offered. Time-limited reservations or offers may expire if payment is not completed.

A group organiser may request places only for teammates who have authorised them to do so and who already hold eligible, verified player accounts. Every group member remains subject to the club’s level, status and capacity rules. The organiser is responsible for checking the group details and completing the displayed group payment before the hold expires.

Payments

Card payments are processed by Stripe, an independent third-party payment provider. The club website does not collect or store complete card details. PayID payments are completed through your bank or payment provider and may remain unconfirmed until the owner verifies the transfer. You are responsible for using the correct payment reference and amount.

Changes, cancellations and refunds

Courts, times and sessions may change or be cancelled because of availability, safety or circumstances outside the club’s control. If you cannot attend, contact the club as soon as possible. For a player-requested cancellation, the club may agree to cancel the booking and place the amount paid into that player’s account as non-transferable club credit for a future eligible session. Club credit does not expire while the account remains active and is not redeemable for cash except where a cash refund is required by law.

If the club cancels a session, cannot provide the service, or the service has a major failure, club credit will not replace any refund or other remedy required under the Australian Consumer Law. Where the law gives you a choice, credit will be used only if you choose it. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Behaviour and participation

Players must follow venue rules, reasonable owner instructions and respectful community standards. Misconduct, harassment, unsafe play, dishonesty about identity or skill level, payment misuse, or attempts to evade an account restriction may lead to removal from a session or restriction of online booking. Participation in sport involves inherent risk; players should participate within their ability and follow appropriate safety guidance.

Website availability

The club aims to keep availability and booking information accurate, but temporary errors or service interruptions can occur. The club may correct genuine booking, capacity or pricing errors and will contact affected players where reasonably possible.
